Shepherd’s Cross Advanced Weaving Retreats – 201 & 301 Weaving 201: February 12 & 13, 2021, Thursday & Friday Weaving 301: March 4, 5 & 6, 2021, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 8:30 am – 3:30 pm Weaving 201 is a two day class. You will learn to weave on a harnessed loom. Cost is $133 fiber included, and you will leave with a finished product. Weaving 101 or a similar experience is required prior to taking weaving 201. Weaving 301 is a three day class. You will learn to weave on a harnessed floor loom. Cost is $233 fiber included and you will leave with a finished product. Weaving 201 or a similar experience is required prior to taking weaving 301. Come on out to Shepherd’s Cross for a Weaving Class. Or you can choose to attend virtually through the internet. (No hidden fees, rental fees or materials fees.) You may bring your own loom or use one of ours at no additional charge. You will learn to warp and to weave, completing a sampler scarf or table runner to take home. We are open until 5:30 pm each day, and you are welcome to stay and practice or work on your project. This class is offered as a group in February & September each year; or as private lessons throughout the year. We provide snacks and beverages at two break times each day. Please bring a lunch each day; a microwave is available. There is a class size minimum of two, and a maximum of 6 participants. Our classes

PRESS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE What: Navajo Weaving Class – Weekend Retreat When: January 7, 8 & 9, 2021 – Thursday, Friday & Saturday 8:30 am – 3:30 pm Where: Shepherd’s Cross 16792 E 450 Road, Claremore OK 74017. Learn how to Navajo Weave in one weekend. This is a basic weaving class. Class also includes fiber arts history and practical technology. This class is offered on site or virtually. Each participant will finished a Navajo Woven project to keep. The Retreat fee is $299.00 and is all inclusive. We provide all material needed. We will provide you instructions for building your own loom (ahead of time), or you can use one of our Navajo looms. This Retreat is limited to 8 participants (minimum of 2) so register early! Class time is augmented by hands on learning tools available in the Educational Farm Museum. The Museum also hosts a collection of fiber arts from around the world. Advanced Classes are available upon request. So if you need a new hobby, a weekend getaway, or just a respite from the challenges of life, come on down to the farm. Feel free to bring family or friends with you and enjoy a few hours of peaceful farm life. Now a little about the farm, Shepherd’s Cross farm is home to Heart of the Shepherd Inc., a public, non-profit Christian organization (501-C3) that teaches Biblical references to the harvest, animals, farming and gardening. Come on out and join us in celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ complete with farm animals and costumed characters inside an Amish built barn. Enjoy the outside games, hay maze, photo opportunities, as well as the Bible Garden and professional light display. Be prepared to enjoy the peaceful setting of an authentic working sheep farm. The Living Nativity will proceed even in the case of inclement weather. As you open the barn door and step back in time you will experience spinning, weaving and wool working demonstrations. Enjoy complimentary apple cider & cookies upstairs as you browse the museum. Be sure to catch an hourly performance of Dramatic Story Telling or Live Music.
